About Breakthrough Now LLCBreakthrough Now LLC is an executive coaching practice helping Black women leaders — and a few brave men — reclaim their value and rebuild after career displacement. Through The Reframe™, a structured three-step process, founder Tanya Dotson-Winckler helps clients identify the core beliefs driving their current behavior, replace them with ones that serve where they're going, and build results beyond what they thought possible. Flagship offering: the Beyond Survival Leadership Incubator, a 90-day 1:1 coaching program.
What differentiates you from the competition? We don't simply make clients temporarily feel better — we go to the root. The Reframe™ surfaces the core beliefs driving behavior and replaces them, backed by 33 years of coaching experience others in the field don't have."
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers? The Beyond Survival Leadership Incubator: 90 days, 10 sessions, built on The Reframe™ — a regression process to limiting beliefs, not surface fixes. Clients have seen 250% ROI and doubled income, because we rebuild the belief, not just the resume.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?You were never the problem — the belief you were handed was. Stop using the same approach that created this challenge to solve it. Reclaim what you actually believe about yourself, and the results beyond what you thought possible follow.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Consistency in my LI funnel. The work ahead is building sharper, more targeted lead magnets and tightening the path from content to conversation to client.

What is your approach to helping clients identify and solve key challenges?By reframing the limiting beliefs they have regarding these challenges and matching these reframed beliefs to the changes needed in their behavior to reach their outcomes.

How do you tailor your coaching or consulting style to different industries? The Reframe™ itself doesn’t change — the six core decisions, the regression, the rebuild — that stays locked no matter who’s across from me. What changes is the language and the pressure points, because a law firm partner and a corrections supervisor aren’t carrying the same weight in the same way.

Someone in a high-liability, reputation-driven profession needs the core belief work to speak that language before it can go anywhere personal. Someone whose world runs on control and chain of command builds trust differently than someone navigating corporate politics and stolen credit. I’m not doing five different methodologies — I’m doing the same regression process in five different dialects, because 33 years of listening taught me people won’t let me near the real belief until I’ve proven I understand the world they’re standing in.

And at the institutional level — consulting with organizations on change management — that’s a different register entirely. That’s not one person’s core belief, that’s a culture’s, so the work shifts from individual regression to naming what the organization has decided about itself and rebuilding that instead.

What are the most common misconceptions about consulting? That it’s not a skill. That anyone can do it.

How do you measure the success of your client engagements? We set a primary outcome from the outset that I guarantee and measure whether that has been achieved by their final session. We also set 1-3 secondary outcomes because they are the knock on effect of meeting the primary outcome.

What trends are influencing the future of consulting and coaching? The worst trends are what I call “coaching by numbers” – like the painting by numbers sets I used to get as a kid for Christmas. They didn’t make me an artist. Just like a 3-month coach training doesn’t make someone a coach. It’s a bad trend that makes it difficult for legitimate coaches to be heard through all the marketing hype and once burned, twice shy experiences of the clients they are not equipped to serve. It makes it hard to be believable even with 33 years of experience and all the receipts.

What’s the most rewarding part of your work? The AHA moment either in the session or between sessions where the client breaks through previously held beliefs and conditions to get the results they have always dreamed of.

What skills do you think are essential for future consultants or coaches? The ability to apply and combine active listening with pattern interrupts to get the client to both think and behave in their own interest.
